Whether you are interested in the foundation’s collection or want to learn more about our nation’s flag, we’d love to hear from you. Please contact us at the addresses below.

Visual Presentations & Lectures

As one of the nation’s foremost experts on the history and graphic evolution of the flag, collector Kit Hinrichs is a frequent guest speaker at museums and national conferences as well as at Rotary Club and D.A.R. gatherings. Entertaining and informative, Hinrichs’s visual lectures build a strong appreciation for the role the nation’s banner played in times of war, peace and celebration.

With more than 5,000 flag art objects, artifacts and memorabilia in the Hinrichs collection, the foundation can accommodate exhibitions of various sizes, from 500 ft² galleries to 7,500 ft² museum spaces. All venues must be accredited by the American Alliance of Museums or abide by its standards.

The vast number of items in the collection makes it possible to focus exhibitions on specific flag-related topics, such as the flag in Native American Art, the flag at War, quilted and sewn flags, teaching patriotism through vintage children’s toys, etc. Please contact the foundation to discuss exhibition themes as well as availability.
